Pork chops marinated in beer, brown sugar and molasses; seasoned with garlic, black pepper, salt and sage
2 C water, warm 2 C beer, dark lager ¼ C salt, course 3 Tbls brown sugar, packed 3 Tbls molasses 1 C ice 6 pork chops, lean center-cut 1-1/4” thick 7 garlic cloves, minced 2 tsp black pepper 1 tsp salt 2 tsp sage, dried
Put water in re-sealable bag, stir in salt and brown sugar until dissolved. Add beer, molasses; stir in ice. Place pork chops in bag; seal and refrigerate at least 4 hours.
Mix together garlic, black pepper, salt and sage; store rub in container and refrigerate until ready to use.
Remove chops from marinade; pat dry. Rub both sides of chops with prepared seasonings. Grill chops about 5-10 minutes on each side, or until juices run clear.
