If a grocery store has a large meat department, such as that at Festival Foods, and you need your meat sliced into strips, ask the butcher to slice it. Or place the meat in the freezer and partially freeze it. This makes it much easier to slice and gives you more uniform pieces. The length of time in the freezer will depend on the size and cut of the meat.
