How to Julienne 11 Months, 2 Weeks ago  
To julienne means to cut into narrow, fine sticks that can measure from 2 to 3 inches long and 1/8 inch square. A finer julienne measures 1/16 of an inch square.

Holding your knife vertically, slice each piece into 1/8-inch panels

Neatly stack the panels or lay them out on the board; cut them lengthwise to create uniform matchsticks.

Julienne is most often used as a garnish.
