Winter Exercise PDF Print E-mail

I've been far too lax with myself; I haven't been out walking in weeks and I can tell - I have not been sleeping well and my clothes don't fit like they did before.  The weatherman wasn't helping much either, with his forcasts of frigid temperatures and blowing winds.  I took full advantage of that and stayed in the house with all the delicious Christmas cookies.

So yesterday I strapped cleats onto my walking shoes and set off for my 5-mile walk around the block.  It felt so good!  How could I have forgotten the wonderful rush I get from my walks?!  Not only is it great exercise, but it's when I do my best thinking and planning - no distractions, just peace and solitude.

Just because it is winter, it doesn't mean that you cannot get outside and exercise the winter-blues from your body.  Go for a walk, ski, ice-skate or grab a sled and fly down the hills.  Come to think of it, I need to find my winter boots so I go hiking with my snowshoes.
